President Taft: An Overview
The 27th U. S. President William Howard Taft, was born in Cincinnati, just before the Civil War. He followed the profession early in his career, which eventually led to the publicService and politics. In 1908, he won election to the presidency until 1913 and served in office.
Taft is the only U.S. president who served as chief judge of the Supreme Court stated in a better position with regard to President Taft. It 'was appointed to the Court by President Harding and served for several years, until shortly before his death in 1930.
Cincinnati Taft House
Located about a mile north of the city, welcomes the historic TaftVisitors free. This is the house where the future president lived until he went to Washington.
